    The village

Thurleigh was recorded in the Domesday Book of 1086, and its Church of St Peter, Grade II* listed, dates from the twelfth century, with later medieval additions. Beside it are the earthworks of Thurleigh Castle, a medieval timber castle. The Old Vicarage was finished in 1750, and part of the village is a conservation area. The parish is made up of a series of Ends, including Church End, Scald End and Park End, and The Jackal is the parish pub. RAF Thurleigh was built north of the village in 1941 and from 1942 was home to American bomber squadrons.

Detached homes sold for an average of around £680,000 over the year to April 2026, and the average across all homes was around £370,000, a little below the year before.
